AJ was another big supporter of The Dirty Words, having hosted us during our several sojourns in Washington, had us in on his house parties, and gone to many of our shows. He shared most of those Washington bills with us, where he exhibited his incredibly honest music. On one of our last trips up to Bainbridge Island, he played for us a recording of a then-new song called 'Fear,' full of harmonies and folk instruments. It's beautiful and, despite the sentiment in the final refrain, quite anthemic.
