My friend Kit messaged me a few years ago with an interest in recording a song. She and her partner came over and recorded it in a day. The original is a duet: a female part and a male part, each with their side of longing. It's an absolutely lovely and sad song. I wanted to test the song's effectiveness if it only had one side of the story, and thus this even lonelier version was born.
